Educational Institutions in Odisha to Reopen From Today

According to the latest update the colleges, universities, professional, and technical institutions will open in Odisha. The decision of reopening the educational institutions is taken for the final year students of UG and diploma programs.

Precautions Taken

The higher educational institutions have taken all the precautionary measures before reopening the institutes. The authority has checked all the measures taken by the institutes and given clearance for reopening. All the institutes are equipped with the needed facilities for welcoming the students. The higher educational authority along with the technical and skill development department has provided clearance for reopening and commencing physical classes for 2020-21 final year students.

The authority has also issued guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP) to conduct offline classes. Hostels of the educational institutes have also been opened as per the rules and regulations issued.

Hostels Repaired for Students

The sanitization and cleaning along with the repair work in the hostels are also done. The vice-chancellor has also stated about the precautionary measures and other necessary steps for reopening the hostels. The sanitizations and cleaning procedures will be done regularly at the hostel and college premises.

The VC’s also mentioned that 10 rooms are separately kept as isolation rooms. The hospitals and other medical colleges are also contacted in emrgency situations if needed. All the students, faculties, and other staff members are requested to follow the rules and regulations for safety purposes.

According to the SOP issued states that the staff members, students from containment zones cannot come to college or any educational institutions. Face masks, hand gloves, and sanitizers are made compulsory for everyone to use on campus. It is also mentioned that there will be separate timings of classes with 50% of students at a time to avoid gathering and spread of infection.
