The National Testing Agency will be conducting the Central University Common Admission Test CUCET 2020 from the next academic year onwards
As per media reports, the ministry of Human Development Resource has accepted the proposal. Until recently though, the University of Rajasthan was conducting the examination. The National Testing Agency will be conducting the 2020 edition of the examination. This will be the first time the exam body will be undertaking the responsibility of CUCET.
CUCET 2020 exam is a National Level Entrance Examination which will be conducted in 119 exam centers across India and in one center in Nepal. CUCET helps candidates to seek admission into undergraduate, integrated, postgraduate and research programs in various educational and professional fields in these 14 central universities. Admissions through CUCET 2020 are handled at the level of each of these Central Universities and BASE, for their respective programs.
Central Universities of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Mahatma Gandhi University (Bihar), Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Punjab and South Bihar along with Bengaluru Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) jointly participate in Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2020).

CUCET Syllabus 2020
As CUCET exam is there for admission at various levels, CUCET 2020 Syllabus varies for each level. Candidates need to undergo all of syllabus section for detailed study related to CUCET 2020 and must meet eligibility criteria for CUCET to appear in the CUCET exam. For Part A of all courses, the syllabus is the same and will be general in nature and will be similar for aptitude test of any other entrance exam.
Syllabus of Part B comprises of following sections:
For CUCET 2020 UG, majority of syllabus will be similar to qualifying examination of 12th standard. Syllabus includes normal sections of CBSE of class 12th for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
Candidates need to undergo specific subject for Domain Knowledge of Part B of CUCET 2020 PG.
CUCET Exam Pattern 2020
CUCET 2020 examination will be conducted in offline mode i.e. pen and paper-based (PBT) where students have to mark on OMR sheets which will be provided during exam.
For all programmes under CUCET 2020 except for Programmes like Integrated Programme/MCA/B.Voc./LLB/MBA or any other general Programme, paper will be divided into 2 parts, Part A will consist of 25 MCQs and Part B will consist of 75 MCQs. For other Programmes, CUCET 2020 will have only one paper comprising of 100 MCQs covering English language, reasoning, data interpretations/numerical ability, general awareness and analytical skills.
Part A consists of English Language, Mathematical Aptitude, General Awareness, and Analytical Skills whereas Part B will be based on Domain Knowledge. Part B will have 3, 4 or 5 sections with 25 questions per section. A candidate is required to answer a set of any three sections (75 questions) relevant to course he/she is applying for.
Candidates are awarded one mark for a correct answer and 0.25 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. There is no negative marking for research programme.
