The All India Ayush Post Graduation Entrance Test for the year 2019 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The National Testing Agency (NTA) set up by the Ministry of Human Resource Development is an independent autonomous, self-reliant and self-sustained premier testing organization.
Students who have the following undergraduate degrees namely BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS and have successfully completed their internship before the 30th of September, 2018 are eligible to appear for the test. Interested candidates can now apply online on the official website up until the 15th of June 2019 while the fees can be paid on or before the 16th of June, 2019. The application fee is as follows – for General, unreserved, OBC-NCL students it is Rs. 2500 while the SC/ST/PWD and Transgender students need to pay a sum of Rs. 1750.
The Steps to apply for NTA AIAPGET 2019 Exam are as follows
- Visit the official exam website/portal ntaaiapget.nic.in
- On the homepage, click on ‘fill application form’ button
- Read the instructions and click on the ‘I have read’ box and then click ‘proceed’
- Fill the form and upload all the relevant documents
- Make the payment and download the confirmation receipt
The AIAPGET 2019 is an online test carrying a total of 400 marks. The examination time duration is 90 minutes. Each correct answer procures 4 marks while each wrong answer will incur a loss of a mark. As per the official memo from the Ministry of AYUSH, a candidate must score a minimum of 50 percent marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC) to qualify in the AIAPGET 2019 exam.
The test will commence at 10 am IST on the 14th of July 2019. The students who clear the test will be eligible for counseling by AYUSH admission central counseling committee (AACCC). The NTA AIAPGET test scores are eligible pan India inclusive of state quota seats for admission to MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses. This could be in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy streams of medicine under all AYUSH colleges and institutions.
