The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that there will be no reduction in the syllabus for the new academic year. CBSE stated that the syllabus for classes 9 to 12 for the academic session of 2021-22 would remain unchanged. As per the official schedule, the new academic year 2021-2021 will commence in April soon.
Last academic year, i.e., 2020-2021, the Central Board of Secondary Education reduced the syllabus by 30 percent owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and the loss of study due to subsequent lockdowns in place. However, with the ease of lockdown restrictions and commencement of regular classes in almost all states, the Board took the decision to keep the syllabus unchanged.
