MHRD, India, established the National School of Open Learning (NIOS). NIOS is a good option for students from remote areas who do not have access to regular classroom studies, or students who chose the possibility of earning their bread but not letting go of their education. NIOS provides the flexibility of the curriculum. Almost every state of India has a NIOS centre to aid the students. It has an equal weightage when it comes to other popular Boards of Examination like CBSE or ICSE etc.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, NIOS wasn’t able to conduct the examinations. Only a few practical exams were possible. Students have been graded based on projects and internal assessments. The alternative marking scheme was laid down by MHRD, keeping in mind the welfare of the students.
With the results finally published, candidates can go further with the admission process in the desired Undergraduate Discipline. The admission procedure has already begun in many colleges. Candidates must keep visiting the official websites of the respective colleges or universities for future updates.
