According to the official memo, candidates can now register for the 2020 edition of the NEET UG Exam on the official website.
The NEET 2020 Application Form will be available from 1st November 2019, and the last date to register is 31 December 2019. The admit card will be available for download on 27th March 2020. The exam will be held on 3rd May 2020 and the result will be announced on 4th June 2020 respectively.
NEET UG is a national level entrance exam, organized by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) every year. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Indian Medical and Dental Colleges.
NEET UG 2020 Exam Eligibility
NTA sets the NEET Eligibility Criteria and all aspiring test takers are expected to fulfill all the criteria. Otherwise, they will be subjected to rejection. Candidates should keep this in mind while applying for NEET.
In order to apply for NEET, Candidates should have qualified in Class 12 or an equivalent exam, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects.
NTA has set the Minimum and Maximum age limit for a candidate to be eligible to take the NEET 2020 exam.
- The maximum age limit for NEET 2020 is 25 years and 30 years in the case of Reserved category test-takers. Candidates must have completed 17 years of age to be eligible to apply for NEET examination.
- All Indian and OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) candidates whose age is below 25 years (General and OBC candidates)/ 30 years (Reserved categories) at the time of admission are also eligible for NEET 2020 exam.
NEET 2020 Exam Syllabus
The conducting body of NEET 2020 will test the knowledge of students in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Hence NEET Syllabus will have topics from class 11th and 12th curriculum.
NEET 2020 syllabus has been prescribed by NTA. The curriculum prepared by the Council Board of School Education, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) are considered while designing the syllabus for NEET 2020. Apart from the CBSE’s curriculum, the NEET syllabus is prepared after reviewing various State syllabi.

NEET UG 2020 Exam Pattern
Every candidate should be aware of NEET Paper Pattern as it helps in planning and preparation for the exam. Every right answer in NEET 2020 will fetch the candidate 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. NEET 2020 will be a pen and paper-based (offline) test. The NEET 2020 examination will consist of one paper having 180 (45 from every subject/section), objective type questions which will count to a total of 720 marks. NEET 2020 question paper will be in English and will be conducted for 3 hours.
NEET UG 2020 Exam Important Details
Admit card will be available in the Official Website from March 27, 2020. Only those candidates who have completed the registration process along with fee payment can download the admit card.
Candidates will be required to select the exam center of their preference and which is convenient for them during the application process. They can select 3 exam cities while selecting.
The exam center in the city will be allotted based on the availability of seats. If there is no available center which can accommodate this candidate then next exam city will be considered for allotment of exam center.
