According to the official notification, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has postponed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate Courses – NEET PG 2021 exam until further notice. As per the official notification released on the official website – natboard.edu.in, the decision to postpone the NEET PG exam came after a lot of deliberation and consultation with stakeholders.
This was informed by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the apex medical regulator, who further stated that it is a matter of conduct for NEET-PG 2021 and is being considered by the UG & PG Boards of the Commission.
Earlier, NBE had released a provisional schedule for the conduct of the NEET PG exam. As per the previously released schedule, the NEET PG exam was scheduled for 10 January 2021, while the NEET MDS exam was scheduled for 16 December 2020.
What’s Next in NEET PG 2021?
It is expected the authorities will release the updated official brochure for NEET PG 2021 within a few days. The official schedule bulletin will include important dates related to the NEET PG examination, including the application form release date, exam date, admit card, and result date, among others.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted for admission into various colleges across the country, offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in medical and dental courses. The NEET PG exam consists of 300 multiple choice questions of pre-clinical, clinical, and para-clinical subjects from the MBBS curriculum.
Through their NEET PG scores, successful candidates are eligible for admission in 10,821 Master of Surgery (MS) seats, 19,953 Doctor of Medicine (MD) seats, and 1,979 PG Diploma seats in 6,102 government, private, deemed, and central universities.
