The University of Mumbai, one of the premier institutes of India, recently declared the final semester results for various undergraduate courses. Courses like B.Com and LLB saw a record-high percentage of the number of candidates who passed the semester examination. Students who appeared for the semester examination must visit the official website to view the result.
95% Pass in B.Com, 96% Clear LLB
Surpassing the previous year trends in the number of students passing the semester examination for popular courses offered by Mumbai University like B.Com and LLB, a record-high number of students passed this year. As per the statistical data available, a total of 95% of students passed the B.Com semester examination while 96% of students cleared the Law exam. This percentage ranged from no more than 70% for B.Com while for LLB it was 65-70% for previous years.
It is also being reported that some of the candidates have scored a perfect score of 400/400, securing 100% in the semester examination. The ideal score is being credited to the fact that Mumbai University decided to conduct the final semester examination in the form of Multiple Choice Question or MCQs instead of opting for the popular Open Book Examination (OBE) model. The results were released following a deadline announced by the UGC earlier this month, which said that all universities and colleges must declare final semester results for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses latest by 31 October 2020.
