According to the latest update, the MU Ph.D. entrance test (PET) is scheduled to be conducted on 28 February 2021 by the University of Mumbai. The university has reopened the MU PET 2020 application process. The last date to complete the registration process for MU PET is 28 January 2021. The MU PET exam was invited last March and was a year delayed due to the pandemic outbreak.
Applications Open Until 28 January 2021
As per the details given by the university authority, around 6500 candidates had registered during last year’s registration process for MU PET 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the exam was not conducted as scheduled. Considering the recent situation, the university has reopened the registration process for the exam. Candidates who are yet to register for the exam can now register and apply by 28 January 2021. The authority has also mentioned that previously registered candidates will not be required to re-apply for the exam. Last year’s registrations will be valid for the application process.
Applications Received So Far
According to the data provided by the university, it has received 6512 applications so far. Out of all the applications received so far, a total of 416 applications received were from other states. While when counted in terms of streams the break-up was as 1148 applications for commerce and management courses, 380 applications for MPhil, 1691 applications for Anthropology courses, and 3340 applications for Science and Technology courses.
