As per the latest announcement, Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) Kottayam, Kerala, has introduced about five new masters’ degrees in various programmes. The new masters’ degree programmes are being offered in the following disciplines:
- M.Sc. in Statistics
- M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- M.Sc. in Nanoscience and Technology (Physics)
- M.Sc. in Nanoscience Technology (Chemistry)
- M.Tech in Energy Science
Please note that candidates can apply for the master’s programme by 28 February 2021.
Steps to Apply for the New Master’s Programme in MGU
Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) has introduced five new master’s programme for postgraduate courses. Candidates can follow the given steps to apply for the courses:
- Visit the official website – mgu.ac.in
- Click on the admissions tab.
- Find and click on the link for the preferred master’s programme.
- Fill out the application form.
- Pay the application fee.
- Apply after verifying all the details.
Candidates applying for the newly introduced master’s program will have to pay the registration fee. The application fee for the general category is INR 1100, and candidates belonging to the reserved category will have to pay INR 550. For international candidates, the registration fee will be $100 (US). Candidates can check the respective courses’ fee details on the official website.
As per the report, 20 % of each programme’s total seats are reserved for candidates from union territories/states other than Kerala. Of the remaining seats, 20 % are reserved for international students seeking admission into PG programmes in the university’s teaching departments.
Candidates joining the course will be provided with a chance to research in international labs abroad since the Mahatma Gandhi University has already signed across the globe.
The newly started school will offer M.Tech in Energy Science for the postgraduate course from March 2021. The program has a limited number of seats which will rise with time. The total seats offered for the course are 10 and 2 for international students.
Candidates who have completed M.Sc. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Physics, Chemistry, Material science, Polymer science, electronics or communication, civil engineering, or equivalent degrees with a 50% mark will be eligible to appear for the Master’s Program.
