Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) released the results for Maharashtra Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Exam 2020 on its official website on July 16, 2020 at 1 P.M. Students who appeared for the Maharashtra HSC exam 2020 can check their results from the official website or the official results website of MSBSHSE given below. To access the Maharashtra HSC result 2020, students have to provide their “Roll Number” and “Mother’s First Name” on the result page.

For the last five years, the results of the HSC exams were always announced in May. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, the declaration of this year’s HSC exam results got delayed. This year, a total of around 15.05 lakhs students have appeared for the HSC exam, out of which 12.82 lakh students have successfully cleared the exam, making the overall passing percentage about 90.66%. 

The combined success rate of both the fresh and the repeating candidates is 87.69%, which is an improvement of about 4.51% from last year’s 83.18%. The fresh candidates have obtained a success rate of 90.66%, while only 39.03% of the repeaters were able to pass the exam.

In the previous year, around 14.22 lakhs students had appeared for the HSC exams and cleared the exams with an overall pass percentage of about 85.88%. Science stream students achieved the highest passing percentage of 92.04%, while the Commerce stream students managed to score 88.28% and about 76.28% of the students from the Arts stream had passed the HSC exams of 2019.

The Maharashtra HSC exam 2020 was conducted from February 18, 2020 till March 18, 2020. To pass the HSC exams, a student has to score a minimum of 35% in each subject. The students who have passed the HSC exam will get their original marksheets from their respective schools.

The students who were unable to obtain the minimum passing marks can avail another opportunity to clear the HSC exam by taking up the supplementary exams. The Maharashtra HSC supplementary exam is expected to be conducted in July 2020 (tentative). The schedule for the supplementary exam will be announced on the official website of the MSBSHSE, and the results of the Maharashtra HSC supplementary exams 2020 can be expected in August 2020 (tentative).
