LPU launches Specialization Oriented New Programs


Keeping in view the requirements of the industry, Lovely Professional University has launched new programs with marked specializations.

A few of the new programs after 12th include a diploma in digital photography, B.Sc (Hons) in Statistics, MSc in agriculture and horticulture, MBA in corporate affairs and governance, corporate audit and tax management, cost management and financial analysis. LPU has also tied up with Wiley NXT, one of the leading Business Analytics companies to launch a specialized MBA program in Business Analytics.

Elaborating about the newly introduced Programs LPU Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal said “LPU has been working very closely with the industry. Based on various inputs on the market trends as well as job profile requirements, this year LPU has introduced specializations as well as new programs. All these programs are further designed in collaboration with the industry. We feel proud to say that all LPU programs are career-oriented programs.”

A host of new specialization subjects and courses have been introduced under Masters of Technology (M.Tech). The future-focused subject streams are as follows

  • Machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Instrumentation and control
  • Renewable energy
  • Environmental engineering
  • Embedded systems
  • Data science and analytics
  • Computing systems and infrastructure
  • Information security and cyber forensics

Likewise, in the stream of arts, under the school of journalism and film production, the new programs introduced are Post Graduate Diploma in TV production, Post Graduate Diploma in advertising and public relations and an MSc in electronic and new media. Finally, the other two programs introduced are MSc in statistics and data analytics and MSc in environmental sciences respectively.

In addition to these, the LPU integrated programs that provide students with an integrated Bachelor & Master degree in 4 years have been seeing a lot of attraction. These programs have been formed under the new guidelines of the UGC (University Grants Commission).
