Kerala TET 2019 Online Application Process Commences

The deadline to complete the registration process for the Kerala TET 2019 exam has been set as October 3, 2019

The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan, in an official memo has announced the commencement of the Kerala Teacher Eligibility (KTET) November Exam 2019 Online Registration Process. The candidates based on eligibility can now apply for the examination by logging on to the official website ktet.kerala.gov.in.

The Pareeksha Bhawan notification also includes all the important details pertaining to the examination. The KTET Admit Card 2019 will be released on October 25, 2019. The KTET examination, on the other hand, will be held in four different phases between 16 and 24 November 2019.

KTET 2019 Exam Application Process

The steps to be followed to complete the online application process for KTET 2019 exam is as follows

  • Visit official exam website ktet.kerala.gov.in
  • On the homepage, find and click on ‘New Registration November 2019’ link
  • Check the tick boxes and complete the online application form
  • Fill in all the details correctly in the form and pay the requisite fee for application
  • Submit the Application on the website and download the confirmation page
  • Make sure to take a printout for future reference/use

KTET 2019 Exam Syllabus 

The KTET 2019 Syllabus varies with the which category post one wants to apply. The details of the same are as follows

Category I – Lower Primary Classes (I-V) Teacher:

Emphasis should be given to questions related to classroom contexts, and Classroom context should be the primary level. The following topics must be relevant to age group 6-11.

  • Child Development and Pedagogy,
  • Language I Kannada/Tamil/Malayalam,
  • Language II English/Arabic and
  • Mathematics,
  • Environmental Studies.

Category II – Upper Primary Classes (VI-VIII) Teacher:

The examination will be broadly based on the topics prescribed for classes 6 to 8 in the Kerala State syllabus but some questions may have links to the extension of these concepts to the Higher Secondary stage. 

  • Child Development & Pedagogy,
  • Language I Kannada/Tamil/Malayalam,
  • Language II English/Arabic and
  • Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teacher) or Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher) or for any other teacher – either one of them.

Category III – High School Classes (IX-X) Teacher:

The questions will focus on the approaches to teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 13-17.

  • Adolescent Psychology, Theories of Learning and Teaching Aptitude
  • Language – Kannada/ Tamil/Malayalam/English
  • Subject-specific areas -Mathematics or Science &
  • Content or Pedagogy

Category IV – High School Classes (IX-X) Teacher:

The questions will focus on the approaches to teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 13-17.

  • Adolescent Psychology, Theories of Learning and Teaching Aptitude
  • Language – Kannada/ Tamil/Malayalam/English
  • Subject-specific areas – Language Specialist or Physical &
  • Content or Pedagogy.

KTET 2019 Exam Pattern

The KTET exam 2019 will be conducted in offline mode. KTET exam pattern will have three papers, Paper-1, Paper 2 and Paper 3. Questions asked in all three KTET exam papers will be objective type multiple choice questions. All three papers together make up 150 marks.
