JKCET 2020 Cancelled, Admission on the Basis of Merit List Already Released @jkbopee.gov.in

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) has released a notification regarding the cancellation of the J&K Common Entrance Test (JKCET) for the current academic session. Candidates must note that the admissions will now be based on the merit list prepared by the authorities. The merit list will be based on the marks scored by the students in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 JKBOSE Board Examination.

JKBOPEE has already released the provisional merit list for the candidates. If a candidate is unsatisfied with the merit list, he/she can challenge the same by 18 September till 4 PM IST. But the complaints and challenges must be made in person by reporting to the Board Office, Jammu/Srinagar. No online complaints via emails will be entertained. Follow the steps mentioned below to view the merit list.

Steps to View the JKCET 2020 Provisional Merit List

  1. Visit the official website – www.jkbopee.gov.in
  2. Scroll down to find the “Notification” Section.
  3. Click on the link titled “Release of Provisional Merit list of the candidates for Common Entrance.
    Test (Engg.) courses -2020.”
  4. The merit list will be displayed on the screen in PDF format.
  5. Find your name on the list.
  6. Save a copy for future reference.

Particulars Mentioned on the Provisional Merit List

Candidates must check for these details on the JKCET 2020 provisional merit list:

  • Application Number
  • Name of the Candidate
  • Father’s Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Marks scored in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
  • Total marks out of 300.
  • Category.

The objections, if any, raised by the candidates enlisted in the provisional merit list, can be submitted personally at the Board office Jammu/Srinagar during working days till 18 September 2020 up to 4.00 PM, failing which no claims shall be entertained by the Board whatsoever may be the reasons thereof. Objections /documents shall not be accepted through email.

The intending candidates shall keep ready their domicile certificates issued by the competent authority along with all other original documents at the time of counselling. The candidates must remain in touch with the official website of the Board to be abreast of the final schedule of the counselling, which shall be notified separately/shortly after the weeding out of objections/documents if any, received from intending candidates mentioned in the Provisional Merit List to be uploaded on the official website of the Board www.jkbopee.gov.in
