In a meeting conducted by State Chief Minister Hemant Soren along with Jharkhand State Disaster, decided to reopen the Jharkhand state colleges from 1 March 2021. The authorities have also permitted to reopen ITI Training from 25 February 2021.
Along with colleges, state schools in Jharkhand will also reopen for classes 8th and above. Students can take the offline classes only with the consent of their parents and those who will not be able to attend offline classes, can continue with online studies. Students will be allowed to attend classes after taking proper precautions amid COVID-19. Students will not be allowed to enter school premises without masks, sanitizers and consent letters from parents. Students along with teaching and non-teaching staff will have to maintain social distancing in schools and colleges.
The government has also issued standard operating procedures for schools and colleges by which students, teachers, and non-teaching staff are required to maintain social distancing in schools or college premises. Students and staff members will also have to wear face masks all day during the classes. Jharkhand has already opened the schools for classes 10th and 12th along with dental and medical colleges in December 2021 after seeing a decline in COVID-19 cases.
JAC Board Examination
The JAC Board Examination 2021 date sheet has also been released for students from classes 10th and 12th. The exams will begin on 3 May 2021 and conclude by 21 May 2021. The Jharkhand Academic Council will conduct exams in offline mode for both the classes.
