JEST 2020 Examination Notification Announced


Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) has released the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) 2020 Examination Details on its official website

As per the official circular released, the 2020 edition of the examination will be held on February 16, 2020. The national level exam is held to select candidates for admission to Ph.D and  Integrated Ph.D Programme in the following subjects namely Physics, Theoretical Computer Science, Neuroscience and Computational Biology.

JEST 2020 Application Process Begins on 14th November and conclude on 14th December 2019. JEST 2020 Admit Card Release will be out on 22nd January 2020.The answer key and examination results is expected in March 2020. 

The JEST 2020 Application Fee details are as follows – For General Category Male Candidates it is 400INR and for General Category Female Candidates it is 200 INR. On the other hand, SC/ST Category Male Candidates will have to pay 200 INR. However, there is Complete Fee Waiver for SC/ST Category Female Candidates.

Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST)

The Science and Research Board recognizes the Join Entrance Screening Test JEST as a National Eligibility Test (NET). This is conducted once in a year, in the month of February. JEST exam helps in seeking admission for a PhD or Integrated PhD programme in Neuroscience or Computational Biology or Physics or Theoretical Computer Science in one of the Participating Institutes. JEST 2020 Exam Pattern

JEST 2020 Exam consists of 50 questions. All the Questions are multiple choice questions (MCQ’s) and the paper will be divided into three parts which contain different patterns. The total marks are 100. Based on the part the marks will be assigned.

JEST 2020 Application Process

Candidates can visit the Official Website and can do Online Registration from November 14, 2019 up to December 14, 2019.  Candidates can follow the below mentioned steps for the application process

Step 1: Visit the Official Website and Register.

Step 2: Now, login to JEST 2020 home page by entering the user name and password.

Step 3: Now, upload your passport size photo and scanned signature with the mentioned sizes and format.

Step 4:  Verify all the details and pay the fee through online mode. Now submit the application and take a print out for your future reference.

JEST 2020 Admit Card 

JEST admit card will be available January 22, 2020 evening, by going to the official page you can download the admit card. The candidate should download the admit card and should carry to the examination centre without fail.
