The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2020 will be held between January 6 and January 11, 2020, in two sessions.
The first session will be conducted from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm while the second session will be held from 2.30 to 5.30 pm respectively. JEE Main is the national level engineering entrance exam for students applying for admission in leading colleges of India like the IITs and NITs. The Exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for students seeking admissions in B.E and B.Tech courses based on their JEE Main Score.
JEE Main 2020 Exam Pattern

- Question Type: The question paper will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) for Paper-I and Drawing for Paper-II.
- Topics: The JEE Main Question paper will comprise of the following topics (Paper I: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics Paper-II: Aptitude Test, Mathematics, and Drawing)
- Duration: The time given to complete the examination will be 3 hours i.e. 180 minutes.
- Marking Scheme: Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer and one mark will be reduced for incorrect answers. For drawing, two questions will be asked for 100 marks.
- Medium: The question paper will be in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
NTA will release the admit card for JEE Main Exam on December 6, 2019. Candidates can easily download their JEE Main admit card online. It is a mandatory document and one has to carry it to the exam hall without fail. The result for the exam will be announced on the official website on January 31, 2020.
JEE Main 2020 Exam Centres
JEE Main Exam Centres will be present in all the major cities across India. The candidates may choose up to 4 exam centers for JEE Main. Best efforts will be taken to allocate the exam center as per the order of preference. Candidates must carry a valid ID proof along with the Admit Card to the Exam Centre without fail. Candidates failing to carry a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID Card etc) with the Hall Ticket to the Exam Centre will not be allowed inside the exam hall.
JEE Main January 2020 Exam Results
JEE Main results will be declared on the official website for all category candidates on January 31, 2020. After the exam, the NTA will display the JEE Main Answer Key and recorded responses of multiple-choice questions of Paper-1 and Paper-2 on the official website. Results of JEE Main are generally compiled based on the final answer key. Candidates cannot expect changes in their score after the JEE Main Result is out.
Percentile Scores: These are scores based on the relative performance of all those who appear for the examination. The marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of the exam candidates.
Re-evaluation/ Re-checking: There shall be no provision for re-evaluation/re-checking of the results. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
JEE Main 2020 Counselling Process
Candidates who have cleared the JEE Main 2020 will be called for the counseling process which will be held on April 2020.
Potential aspirants will be admitted into any of the institutions such as NITs, IITs, and CFTIs for the B.E various programs
Those candidates must also meet the minimum eligibility conditions. They should have scored at least 75% marks in the 12th standard examination, or be in the top 20 percent in the 12th exam or equivalent qualifying examination conducted by the respective Boards.
