As per the latest reports, it has come to notice that the Joint Entrance Examination or JEE Main for the academic year 2021-22 is likely to be conducted in February and May 2021. Candidates aspiring to qualify the engineering entrance examination must take a note of the following update.
JEE Main 2021 Official Schedule to be Released Soon
The JEE Main examination is conducted twice a year for the aspirants in the months of January and April. But, the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a delay of the conduction of the entrance examinations
After an exhaustive meeting carried out by the respective authorities, it was decided that the JEE Main 2021 examination will be conducted two times as usual for the next academic year as well. But as many states have postponed the board examination to the month of April 2021, the schedule for conducting the entrance examination will also shift accordingly.
Holding the first JEE Main 2021 in January as is the norm will be “almost impossible”, as per the update. The officials added that they would “hopefully” conduct the same by the end of February. The second round of the exam is typically held in April but “that is less likely” as well, said the official.
IIT Kharagpur to Conduct JEE Advanced 2021
Aspirants must note that the authorities will release the JEE Main 2021 official schedule within the next ten days. The official schedule will be finalized after a thorough consultation with the state education boards and the set timetable of conducting the Class 12 Board examination. But in a nutshell, the January 2021 exam cycle will be postponed to February 2021, while the March cycle will be delayed to May 2021. The IIT Delhi director, V Ramgopal Rao, also notified that IIT Kharagpur would conduct the JEE Advanced 2021 examination.
