The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Mains 2020 admit card on its official website The Joint Entrance Exam was supposed to be conducted in April but was rescheduled to between September 1, 2020, and September 6, 2020. The exam will be held in two shifts; from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM for the first shift, and from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM for the second shift.

Dismissal of a plea seeking postponement of JEE Mains and NEET UG Exams

On August 17, 2020, the Supreme Court rejected a plea seeking the postponement of the JEE Mains and NEET UG exams. A three-judge bench comprising Justice B.R. Gavai and Justice Krishna Murari, headed by Justice Arun Mishra stated that the ‘careers of the students cannot be put under jeopardy for long’, adding that ‘Life has to go on and the precious years of the students cannot be wasted’.

JEE Mains 2020 Exam Mode

The B.E. and B.Tech tests will be conducted in “Computer Based Test” (CBT) only. For B.Arch, Mathematics (Part I) and the Aptitude Test (Part II) will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT), while the Drawing Test (Part III) will be a “Pen and Paper” (Offline) test, to be done on an A4-size drawing sheet.

For B.Planning, Mathematics (Part I), the Aptitude Test (Part II), and Planning-based Questions (Part III) will be conducted in Computer Based Test” only.

Things to keep in mind for Candidates appearing for JEE mains 2020

Candidates will have to report to the examination centre 2 hours before the commencement of the examination. If a candidate tries to falsify their information or tries to appear for more than one attempt (more than one shift, date), their candidature will be cancelled and their results will be withheld.

Candidates appearing for the B.Arch and B.Planning exams should note that the duration of the exam will be three and a half hours, i.e. 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The JEE Mains exams will be held from September 1, 2020, to September 6, 2020, while the JEE Advanced exam will take place on September 23, 2020.
