JEE Advanced to be Held on 3 July 2021: Education Minister

The Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, went live at 6 PM IST today, i.e., 7 January 2021, to announce the dates for JEE Advanced 2021 exam. The exam will be held on 3 July 2021 and conducted by IIT Kharagpur. The education minister also discussed other important details such as eligibility criteria along with announcing the dates.

Owing to COVID-19, the 75% marks requirement that had been mandatory until now, has been removed for appearing in JEE Advanced 2021 exam. Pokhriyal said that since the announcement of the JEE Main dates, many students were eagerly waiting for clarity on the JEE Advanced 2021 dates. He also wished the students well and stated that they have ample time to prepare for the exam.

Pokhriyal announced the dates and details of JEE Main 2021 in one of his earlier live sessions. The JEE Main 2021 exam will be held four times starting February and again in March, April and May.

Previously, the education minister went live numerous times to address the queries of students and teachers regarding the feasibility of conducting the exam amidst the rising number of infections. In his last webinar, Pokhriyal announced the dates for CBSE class 10 and 12 Board exam 2021.
