It is likely that the JEE Advanced 2021 exam date might change due to the heavy demand from students appearing for the exam. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on 3 July 2021. However, the committee for JEE Advanced has decided to review the situation.
A meeting was held by the committee on Tuesday, 26 April 2021 at IIT Kharagpur to review the situation. Three members of the committee felt the need to change the exam date as the JEE Mains 2021 has been put on hold due to COVID-19. JEE Mains 2021 marks are required to begin the JEE Advanced process.
The National Testing Agency has postponed the JEE Main April session exam and no news has come regarding the May session. However, since JEE Mains 2021 has been deferred, there is a certainty that the committee might consider changing the JEE Advanced exam date. Debashish Chakraborty, chairman of IIT Advanced said, “As things stand, we are likely to change our date from 3 July 2021 because there has to be a reasonable gap between Mains and Advanced.”
The change in exam date for JEE Advanced 2021 will come as a relief for many students. Students are advised to keep checking the official notifications to remain updated about the exam.
