JEE Advanced 2020: Check Result, Counselling, Cut off, Topper and More

On 5 September 2020, the result for one of the most sought after engineering entrance exams, JEE Advanced 2020, was released. Candidates can check their JEE Advanced 2020 results by visiting the official website jeeadv.ac.in and entering their roll number, date of birth and password. Since the result is now out, the next step in the admission procedure is counselling. Read on to check out the counselling dates, the cut-off marks and the toppers of this year’s JEE Advanced examination.

JEE Advanced 2020 Counselling

Candidates who were successful in qualifying the JEE Advanced exam have to now register themselves for the JoSAA counselling process in order to secure a seat in the most prestigious IITs across the country. As per the official notification, the registration for the counselling procedure of JEE Advanced 2020 will begin on 6 October 2020. The link to register for JEE Advanced Counseling will be made available on the official website and will be open from 10 AM IST.

JEE Advance Cut-off and Qualifying Marks

Along with the declaration of the results, the conducting body, i.e., IIT Delhi, has also published the JEE Advanced cut-off or minimum qualifying marks required by candidates to secure a seat. Check out the below-mentioned details to get an idea of the qualifying marks:

  • Maximum aggregate mark: 396 (198 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)
  • Maximum qualifying marks in Physics: 132 (66 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)
  • Maximum qualifying in Chemistry: 132 (66 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)
  • Maximum qualifying in Mathematics: 132 (66 each in Paper 1 and Paper 2)

JEE Advanced 2020 Toppers

As per media reports, Chirag Falor, a resident of Pune has secured the JEE Advanced 2020 AIR or All India Rank 1 on the Common Rank List (CRL) with a total of 352 marks. Kanishka Mittal, who has secured AIR 17, with a total of 315 marks, is the female topper for JEE Advanced 2020. Check out the people holding the top ten spot:

HIGHLIGHTS

As per the official numbers shared by IIT Delhi, an overwhelming total of 1,50,838 candidates appeared for the JEE advanced 2020 entrance exam. Out of which, a total of 43,204 have qualified in the entrance exam and will be eligible for further counselling rounds. Of the total number of candidates who qualified, 36,497 are male, and 6,707 are female candidates.
