The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee will be releasing the admit card for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced today on the 20th of May 2019 on its the official website.
The applied candidates are supposed to download the admit card while taking a print out of the same. This print out of the admit card will serve as the gateway to the examination hall in order to be allowed to write the JEE Advanced test.
A total of 2.45 lakh out of 11.47 lakh students who appeared for JEE Mains have qualified for the JEE Advanced 2019 examination. But it so happens that out of the qualified candidates, just 1.65 lakh have registered for the test. The JEE Advanced exam will be held on the 27th of May 2019 on Monday. The IIT that’s taken charge to conduct this year’s examination is IIT Roorkee.
The steps to download the JEE Advanced admit card 2019 are as follows
- Visit the official exam portal, jeeadv.ac.in
- On the home screen, click on the link ‘JEE advanced admit card’ link
- This will be redirected to a new page
- Here, enter the log in credentials (registration number and password)
- The admit card will appear on the screen. Download it
- Take a print out immediately for future reference/use
The factors to be checked in order to avoid any confusion or error in the admit card are as follows include the Roll number, Photograph, Signature, Date of birth, Address for correspondence and Caste and/or category. In the case of any issue pertaining to the admit card or the examination in general, candidates can get in touch with the Chairman of JEE (Advanced) 2019 of their respective zonal IIT that’s coordinating for the examination. Along with the admit card, the students are supposed to carry a passport size photograph and a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre.
JEE Advanced Examination Details
The online registration for JEE for the same started on May 03, 2019 while concluding on May 09, 2019. The online test will be held in two shifts between 9 am to 12 pm (Paper 1) and from 2 pm to 5 pm (Paper 2) IST. It will comprise of multiple choice answers and objective answers type question. Questions are carefully designed to test the student’s reasoning, comprehension and analytical abilities. Each question paper will be divided into three sections namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. All the candidates need to obtain at least 10% marks in each subject and an overall aggregate of 30% in order to be considered as qualified in the examination.
JEE Advanced, formerly known as Indian Institutes of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination is an annual, national level entrance examination conducted for admission to a wide number of educational institutions and colleges for engineering and architecture programs. Top institutes like IITs and NITs provide admissions based on the JEE advanced score of the student. Candidates can also apply for admission to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Rae Bareli (RGIPT), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc), Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) and six Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) respectively.
