Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) announced summer vacations from 1 May 2021 on Wednesday, 28 April 2021. However, online teaching and open book exams will continue, as informed by the JMI. The decision was made due to an ongoing pandemic across the nation.
The varsity said, “Keeping in view the present ongoing extreme conditions of the COVID wave in the country, the lockdown situations, and the ongoing difficulties being faced by the teachers and students of the university in efforts to save their health/life and their academic year 2020-2021.”
Jamia Millia Islamia will continue her summer vacation from 1 May 2021 to 30 May 2021. Authorities will conduct an online open-book examination from 1 June 2021. The varsity said that although teachers and students will not be present on the campus, online teaching and open book exams will continue at a slow pace to save the ongoing academic year for an extended period during vacation.
Many colleges have closed their offline classes until further notice amid COVID-19. Schools and colleges have started conducting online classes once again to reduce the academic loss of the students. Educational institutions will be open after reviewing the COVID-19 situation in the country.
