India gains ground in QS Global MBA rankings 2020

DU PG Third Merit List for M.Sc Genetics and Microbiology Released

Quacquarelli Symonds abbreviated to QS has released its annual edition of World MBA Rankings 2020 on its official website. 

Based on its recently announced findings, three Indian B-schools including two IIMs (Indian Institute of Management) and ISB (Indian School of Business) has featured in top 100 positions as the best MBA Institutes across the globe.

  • IIM Bangalore
  • IIM Ahmedabad
  • Indian Business School (IBS)

Indian Institute of Management, (IIM) Bangalore

IIM Bangalore has improved its ranking from a large margin by bagging the 44th spot. It previously stood at rank 77. 

IIM Bangalore, is one of the topmost business school in India. It offers an array of courses from postgraduate to doctoral programs in management. It was given five-year accreditation by the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) in the year 2016.

The institute has various exchange programs with several partner universities across the globe. It is also a part of the Global Network for Advanced Management and the Partnership in International Management (PIM).

Indian Institute of Management, (IIM) Ahmedabad

IIM Ahmedabad, has ranked at the 40th position in the list. It has improved its ranking by 8 positions compared to the previous year.

Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad was established in the year 1961 by the combined vision and efforts of eminent personalities like Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, Kasturbhai Lalbhai, and Ravi J. Matthai. The foundation of the Institute was set up by the state government, the central government, local industrialists, the Harvard Business School, and the Ford Foundation respectively. The Institute is approved by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development. IIMA has received many national as well as international accreditations. 

Pioneered by Harvard university, IIMA is the first institution in India to adopt the Case Study Method. Over time, this has transformed into one of its strengths. Since 1967, almost 3,000 cases, as well as 500 monographs, have been written by the faculty members.

Indian School of Business (ISB)

The Indian Business School managed to obtain the 98th position in in the QS world MBA ranking 2020

ISB has two campuses in two different cities. The institution is spread over an area of 70 acres. It has a world-class infrastructure designed by International Architectures. The Institute has been innovatively designed to keep many factors in mind.

The School was established with the mission to be among the top B-schools across the globe. The institution has various collaborations with a number of international universities. The collaborations provide international exposure to the students. The Indian School of Business aims at developing and enhancing the leadership skills in the students.
