As per the latest report, the Indian Institute of Technology or IIT Bombay has extended the GATE 2021 registration process. As per the earlier schedule, the last date for registration was 30 September 2020, without the late fees. However, the date has been extended further to 7 October 2020. After the date mentioned above, candidates will have to pay the late registration fee of INR 500/- along with the normal application fee. Aspiring candidates who still haven’t registered must visit the official website –appsgate.iitb.ac.in to fill out the application form.
According to the schedule released, the examination will be conducted from 5 February 2021 to 14 February 2021. The results are expected to release on 22 March 2021. But there are chances that the date of examination may shift since the deadline for registration has also been shifted. Candidates can refer to the steps mentioned below to fill out the application form if they already haven’t done so.
Steps to Submit GATE 2021 Application Form
- Visit the official website – appsgate.iitb.ac.in
- Scroll down and click on “New User? Register Here” link.
- Login to GATE 2021 by entering your name, email ID, phone number, and set a password.
- Once done, log in again using the credentials.
- Enter the particulars.
- Upload the requested documents in the correct format.
- Pay the GATE exam fees.
- Take a print out of the application form for future reference.
