The Indira Gandhi National Open University OPENMAT, B.Ed. examination date has been announced by the NTA.
The National Testing Agency will conduct the examination on 29 April 2020. The datasheet was officially released by IGNOU for the forthcoming MBA, B.Ed. examinations. The process of registration for the 2020 edition of the computer based examination (CBT) can be done online between 31 January and 29 of February 2020. According to the official notification, the downloading of the admit cards will commence on April 1, 2020 while the results will release on 10 May 2020 respectively.
IGNOU OPENMAT, B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has set up some criteria for taking the IGNOU OPENMAT 2019 exam. Make sure that you clear the criteria before applying for the exam.
There will be no age limit restriction in the OPENMAT 2019 exam, candidates of any age can apply to the exam. The Eligibility Criteria states that the candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline with 50 % marks for general category and 45 % for reserved category.
Candidates holding professional degrees like Engineering, Chartered Accountancy (ICAI), medicine etc can also apply. Once the IGNOU OPENMAT exam results are out, applicants must produce the necessary documents as proof of graduation to the university.
IGNOU OPENMAT Exam Pattern
This exam takes place twice a year and the exam pattern usually stays the same every year. This exam is conducted to check the ability of the students. Based on the exam a merit list is prepared according to the scores of the candidates. The IGNOU OPENMAT exam pattern is as follows:
- Exam Pattern: IGNOU OPENMAT 2020 exam pattern includes four sections, that is, General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning.
- Duration: Candidates will get 3 hours to complete the papers for 200 marks.
- Marks Awarded: For every correct answer, 1 mark is awarded. There is no negative marking.
- Nature of questions: The questions in the examination paper will be of objective type questions.
- Medium: The official language of the exam is English.
Please Note – The admission test for B.Ed will be held on April 29 from 10 am to 12 pm while the admission test for OPENMAT will be conducted on the same date from 2 pm to 5 pm IST.
The candidates for both B.Ed. entrance and OPENMAT need to pay an application fee of 600 INR.
