The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, has officially commenced the admission cycle for the undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the July 2019 session.
Students interested can now apply for the courses offered by visiting the official website of IGNOU and submit the filled in application forms. Every candidate must complete the entire registration process on the IGNOU website. This year, the application forms will only be accepted via online mode only. Also, before and after filling the application forms, one is advised to read the instructions thoroughly.
There are a number of diverse programs offered in both online and offline mode. Hence one is advised to check the list of the programs and program code carefully before applying to any course while taking into account the eligibility, duration, fee and other details. In addition to this, the university will be offering diploma and certificate courses in a plethora of subjects.
On a related note, all the SC and ST students will be exempted from paying the fee for the July 2019 academic cycle. The last date for submission of the forms for the certificate programs has been notified as 15th of July 2019. For all other programs, the last date for submission of the application forms is 31st of July 2019. The candidate must apply before the last date to avoid complications. The Steps to be followed to fill in the IGNOU Application Form are as follows
- Log on to the official online admission portal, onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in
- Click on the button “Register Yourself” and create your log in account
- Fill the mandatory information and ‘Submit’
- The username will be sent via e-mail and SMS on the registered mobile number.
- Now log in using your details and fill the application form in the given format
- Pay the fees and upload the required information and click ‘Submit’
The documents required while applying for IGNOU Admissions 2019 include a scanned photograph along with the scanned signature. A valid ID proof/document to show age proof and the scanned copy of relevant educational qualification.
