The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has decided to extend the last date to waive off the condonation fees which are charged at the time of late filling of various application forms. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the COVID-19 situation. Because of that, several students are facing difficulty in filling the application forms. Students cannot pay the fees till 30 June 2021.

The institute stated, “This period includes a one-month prescribed time limit given in general.” It added that the students are facing problems while filing Form 102/103 for registration “due to non-availability of non-judicial stamp papers for the execution of articleship deed, Form 112 seeking permission to pursue another course due to closure of academic institutions, etc.”

Dhiraj Khandelwal, the ICAI CCM, stated that for the upcoming CA exams, a suitable decision will be taken by the end of April 2021. In view of the COVID-19 pandemic and rising cases, “appropriate decisions” will be made by the end of this month. The CA Foundation exam registration has already been started by ICAI and students can submit their exam forms by visiting icai.org before 4 May 2021.
