The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released an official notification regarding the change of examination venue for a few cities like Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Lucknow. The cities for which the change in exam centre has been announced are due to the slated election on 1 December 2020. Candidates who belong to the cities mentioned above must visit the official website – to view the notification.
Centre Change Only for 1 December 2020
Candidates must note that the change in the centre has been declared only for a single day, i.e., 1 December 2020 the day on which the election will take place. For the rest of the days, the ICAI November 2020 examinations will take place in the usual exam centres. The official notification reads fifteen changed venues along with the existing ones. Candidates who had registered for the examination must view the notification very carefully and appear on the date of examination in the changed venue in due time. Candidates must carry the admit card with them, the old admit card will be valid for the examination.
The official notification further reads “accordingly, candidates are advised to take note of the above-mentioned change in venue in the address and appear in their examination/s, at the new examination venue(s) as mentioned above. Further, remaining papers will be held at the existing examination centre(s) only. Such candidates may note that admit cards already issued for November 2020 examination will remain valid for the new venue. All other details remain unchanged.” Hence, candidates are advised to keep visiting the official website regularly for the latest updates.
Exam Postponed Due to Nivar Cyclone
The Examination Department of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India had released an official notification regarding the postponement of the ICAI CA November 2020 examinations. The examinations have been postponed for Chennai, Cuddalore, Kancheepuram, Karaikudi, Kumbakonam, Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai, Tiruvallur & Villupuram and Puducherry (U.T) due to the potential threat posed by the Nivar Cyclone. The examination for the November 2020 Cycle was slated for 24 and 25 November 2020.
