The Examination Department of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has released an official notification regarding the postponement of the ICAI CA November 2020 examinations. The examinations have been postponed for Chennai, Cuddalore, Kancheepuram, Karaikudi, Kumbakonam, Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai, Tiruvallur & Villupuram and Puducherry (U.T) due to the potential threat posed by the Nivar Cyclone. The examination for the November 2020 Cycle was slated for 24 and 25 November 2020.

The official notification reads, “It is hereby notified for general information that because of heavy rains due to Nivar cyclone and consequent disruption of normal life in some cities in the State of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry (U.T), the Chartered Accountants Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination (Group I), Paper – 2, Business Laws, Ethics and Communication & Intermediate Examination (Group I), Paper – 2, Corporate and Other Laws and Final (Old) Examination (Group I), Paper – 3 & Final (New) Examination (Group I) Paper – 3, Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics scheduled to be held on 24 and 25 November 2020, in Chennai, Cuddalore, Kancheepuram, Karaikudi, Kumbakonam, Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai, Tiruvallur & Villupuram and Puducherry (U.T) stand rescheduled.”
Exams Rescheduled for December 2020
The rescheduled Intermediate and IPC exam would be conducted on 9 December 2020, and the Final (Old & New) Examination shall be held on 11 December 2020, for the above-stated centres only at the same time. The notification also states that no new admit cards or hall tickets will be issued to the candidates for the rescheduled exams. Candidates will be able to appear for postponed exams on 9, and 11 December 2020 with the old admit cards, which will remain valid for the rescheduled dates.
