IBPS Clerk Prelims 2019: Shift I Analysis, 7th December 2019


The 1st shift of IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam was conducted today from 09:00 am to 10:00 am

IBPS Prelims 1st Shift exam was conducted successfully today across different centers in the country. IBPS prelims exam was conducted in online mode. The question paper had three sections with 100 MCQ Questions and the exam duration was of one hour.

Sections were sequenced in the order of English Language, Quantitaive Analysis and Reasoning Ability in the question paper.

  • Puzzles section had the most number of questions when compared with other sections.
  • Word Formation questions were asked in the Miscellaneous section.
  • In the Blood relations section a small para and a family tree was given and questions were based on that.
  • No questions were asked from Inequality, Coding-Decoding, Direction Sense, Circular, Floor, Tabular and  Box based puzzle topics.

Numerical Abillity 

Out of all 14 sections, questions were asked only from five sections. They are:

  • Word Problem type questions were the ones asked from Arithmetic section.
  • Bar Graph based questions were asked from Data Interpretation section.
  • Arithmetic questions can further be specified into groups. Arithmetic section contained questions from Percentage, Profit loss, ratio, average sub-sections.

  • Reading Comprehension passage was based on the topic ‘Herbivores’ and had 10 questions.
  • No questions were asked from Match the columns, Idioms, Word Usge, Word Exchange, Sentence Joining sections.

Highlights of the Exam

  • There were no Surprises.

Most of the questions were doable and easily around 80-85 questions could have been attempted by anyone.
