Here is a summary of the important education-related news from the last week which you shouldn’t miss.

NTA Has Begun Conducting JEE Main 2020 Examination as Scheduled: The National Testing Agency (NTA) started conducting the Joint Entrance Examination or JEE Main for the current academic session. After a lot of rebuttals, especially from the CMs of the opposition ruled states, NTA is going on with the conduction of the examination as planned.

Difficulty Level Remained Easy to Moderate for JEE Main 2020: According to the analysis by the students who appeared for the JEE Main examination on the second day, the difficulty level for the question paper was somewhere between easy to moderate. Physics being the most difficult out of them, followed by Chemistry and then Mathematics.

AIHMCT WAT 2020 Merit List Declared: The Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (AIHMCT) has declared the WAT 2020 result in the form of a merit list. Candidates must visit the official website www.aihmctbangalore.edu.in to check the result. AIHMCT has an intake capacity of 60 students for the current academic session.

WBJEE 2020 Counselling Round 1 Seat Allotment Results Announced: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has released the WBJEE results for the first round of seat allotment on 31 August 2020. Registered candidates could visit the official website – www.wbjeeb.nic.in to view their WBJEE results. The deadline for fee payment and freezing the option was 5 September 2020. 

TS EAMCET 2020 Hall Ticket Released: The TS EAMCET 2020 hall ticket has been released on the official website – eamcet.tsche.ac.in on 3 September 2020. TS EAMCET or Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test, the state-level entrance examination is slated for 9, 10, 11, and 14 September 2020 for engineering applicants. 

Bihar STET 2019 Admit Card Released for Re-Exam: Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) released the Bihar STET 2019 admit card on 3 September 2020. This is for the re-exam scheduled to be held from 9 September 2020 to 21 September 2020. Candidates must visit the official website www.bsebstet2019.in to download the admit card.

COMEDK UGET 2020 Results Announced: The COMEDK UGET results were announced on 3 September 2020. The results were declared online at comedk.org and the counselling will be entirely online and will probably begin in the second week of September 2020.

JIPMER PG 2020 Round Two Counselling Results Announced: The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, has published the results for JIPMER PG second round of online counseling on 3 September 2020. Candidates will need to visit the official website – main.jipmer.edu.in to view the results. A total of 74 candidates have been shortlisted for the second round.

What to Expect in the Coming Weeks?

The Last Date to Apply for IIM CAT 2020 is 16 September: The last date to apply for the Common Admission Test (CAT) for the current academic year is 16 September 2020. Candidates who still haven’t applied can visit the official website www.iimcat.ac.in before the prescribed deadline to apply. While the exam is scheduled for 29 November 2020, the last date to download the CAT admit card is 28 October 2020.

MHT CET 2020 Exam Between 1st and 15th October: The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is scheduled to be conducted between 1 October 2020 and 15 October 2020. The news was confirmed by Maharashtra Education Minister Uday Samant himself. Candidates who are to appear for MHT CET 2020 are advised to keep visiting the official website cetcell.mahacet.org for more information.
