Government Warns Against Fake NEET 2021 Exam Pattern

New Healthcare Programme to be Introduced by the IIT Bombay

Of late, an image detailing the exam pattern of NEET 2021 has been circulating on various social media sites. However, the government has warned that the image comprising the exam pattern for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, commonly know as NEET, is fake. With the circulation of the fake image, the dilemma and confusion around the exam pattern worsened. Especially because the image suggested that the total number of questions has been decreased from 160 to 180.

Putting a rest to all these speculations, the government through the Press Information Bureau’s PIB Fact Check clarifies that the exam pattern is indeed fake. The tweet also mentioned that the exam pattern has not yet been released by NTA or National Testing Agency.

The NTA, via its official handle, also responded to student queries about the fake NEET exam pattern. NTA said “It’s fake. Candidates and parents are advised to wait for the official launch of the Application Form and Information Bulletin on the official website of NTA and NEET (UG).”

Earlier this month, NTA had released a notification that announced the date for NEET 2021. As per the official schedule, the national medical entrance exam will be held on 1 August 2021. The exam will be conducted in a pen and paper-based mode. The detailed information bulletin will be released by the National Testing Agency soon on the official website. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep visiting the official website to stay updated with the latest developments.
