According to the official notification of the conducting body IIT Delhi, the application form correction window will open today on October 15, 2019
The correction window provides candidates with the option of making changes/corrections to a select few sections and fields of the submitted application form. Candidates are hereby advised to go through their application forms. In case of mistakes or errors, the applicants need to visit the official exam website immediately to make the needful changes.
The official website to make corrections is as follows appsgate.iitd.ac.in. Now login using the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) credentials and complete the process. A direct link to the application correction window will also be activated in some time.
Earlier, it was notified to the candidates that no changes will be permitted in the GATE 2020 application form after the application period was over. The other important details to be noted by the students have been mentioned below
GATE 2020 Exam Pattern
The online CBT based examination will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions carrying 1 or 2 marks each in all the papers and sections.
In GATE Exam for all the papers, there will be a total of 65 questions which carries 100 marks and out of which 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks will be on General Aptitude (GS) which is intended to test the Language and analytical skills of candidates.

GATE 2020 Admit Card
IIT Delhi will release GATE 2020 Admit Card on January 3, 2020 on the official website. Candidates who have successfully applied for GATE 2020 can download the hall ticket by entering their Registration number and Password on the official website.
GATE 2020 Exam Centres
While applying for GATE 2020, candidates have to select 3 cities among the list. Candidates can choose the first 2 exam venues from the same zone and select the 3rd center from any other zone.
The authorities will try their best to provide an exam Centre in the city of the Candidate’s first preference. However, the authority reserves all rights to allocate the candidate a test center in any of the three cities he/she has already chosen.
The process to Change Test Venue
Conducting authority for GATE 2020, IIT Delhi will be allowing the exam center based on the choice of candidate and number of seats available at the selected center. Examination centers are spread across the country for ease of access to candidates and candidates can choose the one which is convenient for them.
You can change the venue by making a request and the change will be allowed by demanding a proper reason from the candidate.
GATE 2020 Results
IIT Delhi will announce the GATE 2020 Results on the official website. To access the results, candidates must log in to the official website and enter the credentials (registration number and password).
GATE is conducted jointly by the IISC Bangalore and seven IITs including Kanpur, Delhi, Madras, Roorkee, Guwahati, Bombay and Kharagpur on behalf of National Coordination Board (NCB). GATE 2020 exam is mandatory for anyone seeking admission to master’s program and direct doctoral programs in Technology, Engineering, and Architecture.
