Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank interacted with teachers during a live session at 4 PM IST today, i.e., 22 December 2020. He answered numerous queries from teachers related to the Board exam 2021. The webinar was earlier scheduled for 17 December 2020 but was postponed later.
The education minister said that they would not hold exams until February 2021 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Exams are not feasible in January-February 2021”, but the minister will hold a further round of discussions to decide upon the dates of the Board exam 2021.
Earlier, the Union Education Minister addressed the queries of the students on 10 December 2020 and talked about the various entrance exams including JEE and NEET. He stated that the security and safety of the students is the utmost priority and also announced the dates for JEE Main 2021 in the next webinar.
Educational institutions across the country have been shut since March 2020 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under such unprecedented circumstances, the flow of education is ongoing in the online mode. Amidst all this, students and teachers have been worried that the reduction in the syllabus by two major boards, CBSE and ICSE, will have a negative impact on the entrance exams.
