DU Entrance Exam to be held from June 30 to July 6

The Delhi University has announced the dates for the entrance exam that will be held for postgraduate, MPhil, Ph.D. and nine undergraduate courses.

The official memo stated that the examinations will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This is the first time the agency has been appointed to conduct the examination.

There is a total of 11 undergraduate courses that will require qualifying in the entrance tests. However, for music and physical education, the tests will be conducted internally by the varsity itself. For UG programs, the admissions will be based on merit coupled with the marks scored in the entrance test and class 12 examination.

The highly anticipated entrance tests will be held in centers across the country in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi (NCR includes Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad), Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi, Trivandrum and Varanasi respectively.

The precise dates of the entrance exams for each respective course will be announced on Friday the 14th of June 2019. The examination will be held in three sessions per day and CCTV cameras will be placed at all the centers.

The examination pattern for the two-hour written test will consist of multiple choice questions relevant to the respective subjects with a total of 100 questions. Each correct answer is rewarded with four marks while each wrong answer will get minus one mark and a question left unanswered will get zero marks.

On the other hand, the online registration process for undergraduate and postgraduate/MPhil courses began on May 30 and July 3 respectively. This will be accompanied by an entrance exam for MPhil and Ph.D. degrees for various specializations. The final shortlisted candidates will have to finally appear for the personal interview round.

The answers keys to the DU entrance exam question papers will be uploaded immediately within 24 hours and 48 hours from the conduction of exams. For more information and queries, the students are advised to visit the official university website du.ac.in
