Delhi University will announce its first cut-off for admission to various undergraduate courses in its colleges on the 28th of June 2019.
As the application schedule dates had been extended due to the Delhi High Court order, the cut-off list which was supposed to release on the 20th of June will be now releasing next week. The varsity announced its revised admission schedule on Wednesday.
The first admission list will be put up on the 17th of July for postgraduate courses, the second one on the 22nd of July, third on the 27th of July and fourth on the 2nd of August 2019. Candidates are also advised to check the revised eligibility criteria released by the university before applying for admissions. According to Rajeev Gupta, head of the academic committee “The revised schedule will be available at the official website du.ac.in from tomorrow i.e. on June 21, 2019.”
Interestingly, the cut-offs for this year are likely to be higher, as the percentage of students who scored above 95 percent in the class 12 board exams has increased by 38.4 percent. The processes for online document verification, approval of admission and fees payment can be completed between the 20th and the 22nd of June 2019.
As per the previously announced schedule, a total of four cut-off lists were to be released by the varsity. But, if seats for a particular course in a particular college are filled with the release of the third cut-off list, it will not release the fourth cut-off list until and unless there are any admission withdrawals. As of now, more than two lakh candidates are registered on the university’s admission portal.
Delhi University, this year, has introduced a 10 percent increase in seats for the EWS category students, bringing the total number of seats for UG courses to 62,000. Cut-offs will be released separately for students belonging to the EWS category.
