As per the latest memo circulated, Delhi University will be hosting its 96th Convocation Function on Monday, 4th November 2019.
It is scheduled to be held from 10 am in the morning at Multipurpose Hall, Delhi University Sports Complex, University of Delhi.
The event will be held by the university for the conferment of degrees and award of medals and prices to the eligible candidates for the examinations held in the academic year 2018 and 2019 respectively.
The Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal will be the Chief Guest and deliver the Convocation address. Professor Yogesh Kumar Tyagi, the Vice Chancellor of Delhi Unversity will preside over the function.
About 600 Doctoral Degrees, 60 DM/ M.Ch degrees, 300 medals and prizes will be awarded to the students by the university in person at the convocation ceremony. The degree certificates of the passed out meritorious students of the various examinations held in the year 2018 and 2019 by the university, will be conferred in absentia and shall be released to their respective colleges after the convocation.
A live webcast of the convocation function will be available on the official website of the university. The colleges under the varsity have been requested to broadcast the ceremony for the convenience of the college students
