Chandigarh University made it compulsory for anyone to attend the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) for admissions to MBA, Engineering Programmes; CUCET now is also the criteria for receiving Scholarships
Chandigarh University announced a new admission policy for the 2020-21 academic sessions, citing that the candidates who wish to apply for the engineering and MBA programmes at the university will have to appear for the National level entrance examination – CUCET 2020.
The announcement was made by Chandigarh University Vice-Chancellor Dr. RS Bawa. CUCET will take admissions to 15 Undergraduate Engineering programmes, 6 Industry Collaborative Engineering programmes, and 7 MBA specialization programmes offered by Chandigarh University.
As stated by the University Vice-Chancellor Dr. RS Bawa, CUCET 2020 examination, apart from making the students eligible for the admissions will also offer academic scholarships of up to 100 percent for more than 109 programmes which are offered by the university.
Steps to Register for CUCET 2020
Go to CUCET official website cucet.cuchd.in
Fill up the online form and click the “Register” button.
You will receive a User ID and password by Email and SMS.
Login on the same page using the received credentials and complete your profile.
CUCET 2020: Eligibilty Criteria
The eligibility criteria for CUCET 2020 is given below:
For UG Courses
If the applicant has completed his/her higher secondary studies, then 50% marks in Secondary Education (10+2) is the qualification criteria for UG Courses. If the applicant is still pursuing his secondary education, then the only criteria is that he/she has to be studying under a recognized Board (CBSE/PSEB/ICSE or any other recognized State/National Board).
For PG Courses
For PG courses, 50% or more marks in their Graduation is the only eligibility except for, it has to be from a recognized University in India.
