Odisha government has announced that they will provide an examination guidelines book free of cost to the class 10 students appearing for the annual board exam which is to be held in the month of May. The announcement was made by Mr. SR Dash the school and mass education minister.
The minister also announced that the government has decided to distribute the “Pariksha Darpan” book to all the students appearing for the class 10 board exam. Pariksha Darpan is a 700-page guide book that would help the students to prepare for the board exam. The minister has also asked the education department to help the students in order to reduce their stress.
As announced earlier, the board exam syllabus has been reduced by 30% due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This was done to reduce the pressure on the students as the syllabus wasn’t totally taught due to the pandemic.
The Pariksha Darpan book comprises of the probable and previous years important questions that can be asked in the board exams. The Odisha board exam is scheduled to be held from 3 May 2021. The government has also assured that precautions and safety measures will be taken for conducting the exam.
Taking into account the effect of the pandemic on the livelihood of people, earlier the government had announced the fee waiver for examination. As per the announcement made by the Odisha government, the government will be bearing the expenditure on examination.
