The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or CISCE has released an official notification regarding the compartmental and improvement examinations of class 10 and class 12 students, respectively. Those students placed in the compartment category for a subject in the ICSE exam 2020 or who want to improve the ISC exam 2020 marks should reach out to their respective schools and register. The last date to do so is 22 September 2020.
Improvement Exams for the CISCE Cancelled Exams
Students must take note that CISCE has allowed the improvement examination for ISC subjects cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The candidates who aren’t satisfied with the marks they have achieved can sit for the improvement examination of that particular subject. As an alternative evaluation method, the students were marked based on the internal assessment and the pre-board exam marks. ICSE students can also appear in the examinations for subjects in which they feel improvement is required.
ICSE And ISC Results 2020
After being delayed for nearly three months, the CISCE board announced the results for the ICSE and ISC on 10 July 2020. According to the details provided by the Council, 99.33% of students passed the ICSE board exams, and 96.82% passed the ISC examination.
Both class 10 and class 12 exam results of the CISCE board saw a marginal improvement in the overall pass percentage of 0.79% and 2.02% over last year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic making the schools non-operational, the merit list or toppers list for ICSE result 2020 was not released this year.
