Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has announced that the CGBSE class 10 and 12 board exams will be held in offline mode at exam centres only. Putting aside rising concerns and speculations amid students and parents about the upcoming CG Board, the CGBSE has confirmed that all students will have to appear physically at their exam centres for class 10 and 12 board exams as per the schedule issued by the board.
The board has also announced that students who are COVID-19 positive can not appear for the exam, and a special exam will be held for them later on. Also, students residing in containment zones or areas under lockdown, even if they are not directly affected by COVID-19, they will not be allowed to appear for the exam. Hence these students will be marked ‘C’ and shall not be given any marks and will be considered passed on in that subject.
Chhattisgarh Board will conduct the class 10 and 12 board exams from 15 April 2021. Class 10 exams will be held from 15 April 2021 to 1 May 2021, while class 12 exams will be held from 3 May 2021 to 24 May 2021. The board has asked the students and staff members to follow the COVID-19 precautionary guidelines: social distancing, wearing masks and spaced seating arrangements at exam centres.
