
The Common Entrance Examination for Design, commonly known as CEED, is a joint entrance exam conducted by IIT Bombay. The exam is conducted annually to test the eligibility of students wishing to secure a seat in the Master of Design (M.Des) and Ph.D. programs for particular colleges. The CEED 2021 exam concluded successfully on 17 January 2021 with questions being moderate on the difficulty scale.
CEED 2021 Exam Pattern
The CEED exam is divided into two parts of which Part A is a computer-based test while the second part is a pen and paper-based test.

Part A of the exam included questions from Visual and Special Ability, Language, and Creativity, Environmental & Social Awareness, Design Thinking & Problem Solving, among others. This section has been curated to test the understanding of the students both in terms of holistic development, basic general knowledge, and in-depth problem-solving skills. Questions asked were somewhere between moderate and difficult.

Part B of the exam was held in a pen and paper mode and included questions from topics such as Drawing, Communication Skills, Creativity, Analytical & Problem Solving Skills, among others. This section tests the creative side of the candidates and how quickly they are able to solve a problem or find a way to any situation presented at the moment. The questions were mostly easy to moderate.
