The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked the Delhi University to align its admission processes with the preponed result schedule of the 2019 Class 12 board examination.
The CBSE board based on the Delhi High Court order has preponed all the activities pertaining to the process of verification and revaluation and announcement of results. A board official stated that they have written a letter to the Registrar of Delhi University stating that they align the admission process as per the schedule fixed by the CBSE. This has been done after a lot of students were concerned that their dream of getting admission in DU won’t happen as there was a clear overlap of dates. They are as of now keenly awaiting their revaluation results.
The CBSE had announced the Class 12 examination results on the 2nd of May 2019 in just 28 days. Traditionally, the class 12 results used to be announced in the third week of May. The board was even successful in declaring the results before the ICSE board Class 12 results. The CBSE class 12 examination was held between the 15th February and 3rd April respectively.
The Delhi University now has to come up with a schedule to fix the last date of submission of application form for admission for various courses in a way that the revaluation work is finished prior to the last date of Delhi University admission process. The admissions will begin at the prestigious colleges on the 22nd of May (today). For all information pertaining to admissions at Delhi University, one can log in to the official website du.ac.in.
The Delhi University has also updated the curriculum of around 75 undergraduate courses and can be viewed on its website. The revised curriculum encompasses a total of 28 departments and will be available for public review only until the 31st of May 2019.
