The Central Board of Secondary Education is organizing a Reading Challenge exclusively for CBSE students. The challenge is aimed at increasing the reading proficiency of students. The Reading Challenge will be conducted in two stages and the top six students who clear the first round will be shortlisted for the second round.

    Why ‘Reading Challenge’ ?

Proficiency in reading will help students improve communication, critical and creative thinking and develop  problem-solving skills among the students. All these aspects in turn will contribute to the individual growth of the students. Reading Literacy serves not only as a foundation for achievement in other subject areas within the educational system but also acts as a prerequisite for successful participation in most areas of adult life.

    Challenge Pattern

The Reading challenge is focussed on assessing the speed and accuracy of the students. The question paper  will contain 5-8 passages with each passage followed by objective type questions. The students who manage to answer the most number of questions correctly in a short duration of time will be selected.

    Eligibility

    • Round One: All students from classes 8 to 10 can participate.
