CBSE Examinations 2020 Update: SC Dismisses the Plea against the Cancellation of Examination

Post the CBSE result 2020 was declared, many students have been waiting for the application form of the CBSE compartment exams 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic causing an increase in cases, there is uncertainty over the course of action for the CBSE compartment exams 2020.

Several media houses reported about the recently filed PIL (Public Interest Litigation) in the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of CBSE Compartment Exams 2020 & passing the students provisionally. As per the latest updates, CBSE will take opinions from stakeholders regarding CBSE Compartment Exams 2020 and then it will take any decision. The board might soon start the process to collect feedback from students.

What are CBSE Compartment Exams?

CBSE conducts CBSE compartment exams for candidates who could not pass in the CBSE Class 10 or 12 exams. Candidates failing in one of the five subjects of external examination are placed in the compartment category for that subject, provided they have already qualified in all the subjects of internal assessment.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India that conducts examinations for the public as well as private schools across the country. CBSE is controlled by the Union Government of India. All schools affiliated with the CBSE are required to follow the NCERT curriculum. All Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, private schools, and most of the schools approved by the central government of India are affiliated with CBSE. Every year, the Central Board of Secondary Education conducts board examinations for class 10th and 12th students in March and declares the results for both the classes in May.
