Exam Analysis of GATE Exam Conducted on 13 February 2021

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of exams for class X and class XII. The exams have already begun on 15th February. A notice has been issued by the authorities on February 14th containing all the details.

Arrangements Made by the Authorities

  • Sufficient gaps have been given between exam dates so that students get enough time for preparation.
  • A webcast program was conducted recently which addressed Centre Superintendents, City Coordinators, Custodians, Invigilators, observers and students to verify if all the necessary information was conveyed.
  • Sports have been encouraged to enable those students (both CBSE class 10th and CBSE class 12th) to take the exam at a later stage.
  • Special allowances have been given to wards of martyred armed forces and paramilitary forces.
  • Exemptions have been given to children with special needs according to the right of persons with disabilities act 1960.

Initiatives Taken by the Authorities for Board Examinations 2020

  • In order to give accurate data, the board has integrated portals with various quality checks.
  • 2 new portals have been developed to ensure superfast communication between schools and regional offices.
  • Admit cards were designed with QR code and made available for online download.
  • The portal for collecting data on absentee students has been fine-tuned.
  • A number of encrypted question papers has risen to 50.
  • Custodian and Centre Superintendent photo-tagging has been added with the image of Centre material for exam 2020.

Points to Remember While Attending the Board Exam 2020

  • All the directions in the CBSE admit card must be followed meticulously.
  • It is better to visit the examination centre a day before, to identify the correct location of the exam centre.
  • Students must be in the examination hall by 10:00 PM, failing which they will not be allowed to take the exam.
  • Students must carry the stationery in a transparent pouch only.
  • Students must read the question paper carefully, and follow the instructions given in the answer book.
  • Cell phones, purses, wallets are not allowed.
