As per the latest reports, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has allowed students appearing in the board exam to change their centres. The decision has been taken considering the COVID-19 pandemic and the sudden rise in cases. Many students, along with their families, have shifted to new places in this lockdown. Hence, they could not have appeared in the theory and practical exams from their respective centres. CBSE has allowed students to send their request to change board exam centres by 25 March 2021, and schools will be required to update their information by 31 March 2021.
The circular stated, “It has come to the notice of the board that because of COVID pandemic, some students of Class 10 and 12 along with their families have shifted to some other city/ country and therefore, they are unable to appear for the practical examination/ theory examination from the examination center from where the students are registered for board examinations,”.
To change the exam centres, students have to contact their respective schools and inform the schools about the new centre choice. Students can choose only one city for both board theory and practical exams. Students will not be able to change the exam centre after that.
