Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission is set to release Assam TET 2020 Result for Secondary Examination today i.e., March 4, 2020. Once the results are announced, candidates will be able to check their Assam TET 2020 Result online at ssa.assam.gov.in
Eligibility Criteria for ASSAM TET 2020
- Candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- The minimum academic and professional qualification a candidate must possess is mentioned below:
|Minimum Qualification for appearing in Lower Primary TET (Classes 1 to 5)||
SSC (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/2-year Diploma in Education(Special Education)/4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
Graduate with a two year Diploma in Elementary Education/Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
|Minimum Qualification for appearing in Upper Primary TET (Classes 6 to 8)||
SSC (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary
Graduate with at least 50% marks and a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed)/1-year B. Ed.(Special Education)
Graduate with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
A.S.S.A.M (Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission) came into existence in the year 2001. It was a registered society under the Registration of Societies Act, 1860 for implementation of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) in Assam.
Government of India launched a number of schemes and programs for achieving the goal of Universalisation of Elementary Education (UEE), the Constitutional obligation (86th Amendment Act) of providing free and compulsory education for all children in the age group of 6-14 years and the formulation of NPE (National Policy of Education) in 1996.
In Assam, Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission (A.S.S.A.M) has been implementing the National flagship program of SSA (Sarba Siksha Abhiyan). SSA has been operational in Assam since 2000-2001.
The Government of Assam, Department of Elementary Education had decided to conduct Teachers’ Eligibility Test with the objective of recruiting qualified teachers following the guidelines and norms of NCTE (National Council of Teacher Education).
